Psalm 22:3-5

Examine

Verse 3

Yet You are enthroned as the Holy One;

You are the praise of Israel.


Notice about God

· God is Holy – “the Holy One.”

· There no one more holy than God.

· God is enthroned as our King.

· God is to be praised.

· God is worthy of praise.

Notice lesson

· We are to honor God as our Holy King.

· We are to praise God always.


Do what it says

Question

· How can I honor God today?

· How can I praise God today?

Response

· Be in the Word

· Strive to live a holy life

· Sing Songs of Praise



Examine

Verse 4

In You our fathers put their trust;

they trusted You and You delivered them.


Notice about God

· God is trustworthy.

· God delivers those who trust in Him.

Notice lesson

· We need to trust God.

· Remember God will deliver us from trouble, even if it isn’t as we hoped.


Do what it says

Question

· How can I trust God today?

· How can I remember God is my deliverer?

Response

· When I begin to doubt, pray and turn to God’s Word.

· When I doubt, add one thing to list of things He delivered me from.


Examine

Verse 5

They cried to You and were saved;

in You they trusted and were not disappointed.


Notice about God

· God listens to our cries.

· God saves.

· God is trustworthy.

· God will not disappoint.

Notice lesson

· When we cry out to God, He saves us – just not always the way we wanted.

· We can trust God.

· We should not be disappointed by God’s answers.


Do what it says

Question

· How can I accept God’s answers to my prayers with gratitude and without disappointment?

Response

· I can remind myself of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Knowing the price Jesus pain for me, how dare I be disappointed with His replies.
