1 Peter 2:6
Take Time to Pray
Psalm 51:1-2
1 Have mercy on me, O God,
according to Your unfailing love;
according to Your great commission
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
Examine
6 For in Scripture it says:
"See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and previous cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in Him
will never be put to shame."
(Isaiah 28:16)
The cornerstone is Jesus and here in the New Testament, prophecy about Jesus from the Old Testament is brought to strengthen the New Testament words.
A cornerstone is the first stone of the building and must be straight or the building will not be straight.

God
God is the builder.
God is building His church - the invisible church.
Jesus is the perfect cornerstone to build on.
Lesson
Trusting in Jesus is what saves us.
Jesus is the cornerstone that we build our faith on.
When we are in line with Jesus we are building His church.
The New Testament recalls Old Testament prophecies of the Messiah, Jesus.
