Take Time to Pray
Psalm 96:1-3
1 Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing to the LORD, praise His name;
proclaim His salvation day after day.
3 Declare His glory among the nations,
His marvelous deeds among all peoples.
Examine
1 Praise the LORD
Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
who finds great delight in His commands.
7 He will have no fear of bad news;
his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
Notice
God
God is worthy of praise.
God is to be feared - held in awe.
God's commands are good.
Lesson
Following God's Word brings blessing - just be careful about what you think is a blessing. Our biggest blessing is not earthly, but heavenly - our salvation bought by Jesus Christ on the cross. Not all blessings are easily seen.
God doesn't say that there will not be bad news. There will be, but we can trust Him when shadows fall.
